Financial Assistance for students attending 600+ hour programs is available from a variety of sources. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a full-time program.

Pell Grant
A student's eligibility for this grant depends on family income and initial course progress. Complete an online FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov (Federal School Code is 017290) to determine your eligibility for a Pell grant.  (Worksheets available at the Apollo Adult Education Resource Center).  You must be enrolled in a Pell eligible program that is 600 hours or more in length.  

Apollo does not participate in the subsidized/unsubsidized Stafford Loans.  For detailed information on financial aid procedures, contact Craig Hart at 419.998.2990. 

Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR)
Financial assistance from this agency is for students with documented disabilities or handicaps. Information may be obtained through your local BVR office.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
Financial aid is available from this program for students who qualify. Partial to total aid is available to cover tuition, books, and supplies. Contact your county Human Service Department for more information.

Veterans Assistance Program
The Veterans Administration administers a number of education and training programs for veterans, service persons, and eligible dependents. WCCC is an approved Veteran's Administration training center. To apply for Veterans benefits, DD214 is required to complete the application for Education Benefits. You may call:

BWCR is a State of Ohio agency responsible for rehabilitation of workers injured physically, mentally and/or emotionally on the job. BWCR's referral process and eligibility determination will be assessed by assigned care managers.

Trade Adjustment Act (TAA)/Trade Readjustment Act (TRA)/NAFTA Funds
TAA/TRA/NAFTA funds are available to "dislocated workers" to pursue training. To complete the referral process and eligibility determination, contact your local Ohio Job & Family Services.
