During
the early childhood years,birth through age 5, every moment is an
opportunity for children to learn more about the world around them,
to develop social skills, and to gain critical thinking skills and
knowledge.
This course
will prepare you to become a childcare teacher, daycare provider,
pre-school teacher or director.
You
will also prepare for the CDA (Child Development Associate Credential).
Coursework
includes a wide variety of topics including:

- Dealing with Difficult Children

- First Aid
- Child Abuse
- How to manage your program operation

CPR
is available through the Public Safety department.
Students
complete field work in a day care setting or a family child care
setting. Information and documentation of hours provided for the
“Child Development Associate” (CDA) credential.
CDA Testing additional $325
Your CDA
credential will enable you to increase your skills in childcare
development and possibly move into advanced positions.

and workshops that are open
to the public to further your career and enhance the
quality of childcare in our area. |
