Invest in yourself and your future with the help of the Aspire program. FREE services are offered to individuals preparing for the high school equivalency diploma. Classes are offered in Allen, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties. HSE classes are a stepping stone for students to transition to a career training program, community college or university degree program.
Classes are for all individuals 16 years of age and older.
All 16 and 17-years old individuals must provide a signed and notarized HSE Consent Form and current school year withdrawal form signed by a school official on the first day of orientation.
Individuals who are 18 years old must provide a current school year withdrawal form signed by a school official on the first day of orientation.

All students are required to attend the 4-day orientation for entry into the program. Please bring your photo ID and arrive on time to orientation. New students must pre-register for orientation.
*You may not take classes if you are under 16 yrs of age, or if you are enrolled in high school.
High School Equivalency (HSE)
The Aspire program offers high school equivalence classes to prepare student to pass the GED test. Once the GED test is passed, the student will receive a High School Diploma certificate.
The GED test has four subject areas; Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Math.
The official GED test is administered at Apollo Career Center which is a PearsonVue Testing Center. All testing is done by appointment. Appointments can be made online after registering at https://ged.com/.
The fee for the test is $120. When applying for the test (https://ged.com/) you can request a one-time $80 voucher to lower the cost to $40.
Ohio GED® Voucher Program
The State of Ohio offers a voucher worth $80 to help cover part of the cost of the GED® Exam. This voucher is valid for 120 days from the day it is issued to the student. If you are interested in receiving this voucher, contact:
